The Metrix MX2034 uses standard factory pre-configured calibrations as well as custom field-generated curves that provides a linear response, meeting API 670 accuracy specifications. The MX2034 has proven to work with many manufacturers’ probes and cables. It works with a variety of probe tip diameters, extension cable lengths, or linear ranges that the technician is working with. It’s possible to monitor vibration levels, changes in rotor position, and speed with the MX2034 Proximity Transmitter. The transmitter provides a 4-20 mA output that can be used by control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems. These systems have been proven to be able to provide early warning of significant machine condition changes.

With a single transmitter, users can switch probe type, change system length, and alter target materials in the field. The MX2034 is capable of eliminating the cross-talk between two adjacently installed proximity probes, the dynamic output signal measured at the BNC can be configured for positive or negative polarity depending upon the application, and transient electrical spikes from outside the system can be suppressed by the transmitter. With the 4-pin connector, users of the MX2034 can send the dynamic signal output to a vibration monitoring system up to 100m away. There are many other advanced features of the MX2034 that customers can take advantage of to optimize the value of their proximity transmitter system.
