Introduction to SEW Motor S Series
The strength of SEW's spiral worm gears is their simple mechanical structure. This produces higher efficiency than a pure worm gear. In addition, the S-Series reducers are quiet during operation. Torque ranges from 92 Nm to 4,000 Nm.
Helical gear worm reducer: simple design and high efficiency
The simple design makes the cost more economical. Separate adjustment of torque and speed allows the worm gear unit to save installation space. Perform simple tasks in machine or factory applications with S-Series reducers.
The combination with the helical gear stage significantly improves efficiency compared to a pure helical worm gear arrangement. The linear power transmission makes the helical worm gear unit particularly quiet during operation. Since power is transmitted to the drive shaft through the worm shaft and the worm wheel, this suppresses torque pulses and reduces noise.
Use SEW's modular concept to combine S-Series gearboxes and AC motors into S..DR.. helical worm geared motors or combine servo motors into your choice of S..CMP servo-helical worm geared motors.
